PreciCura - Thickness Mode

All PreciCura laser distance sensors have the facility to be connected together in ‘Thickness Mode’. This enables real time thickness of fast moving materials directly from the sensor.

The internal processor handles the sampling synchronisation and calculates the actual product thickness. Calibrated thickness values are available on the serial RS232 or the CAN-Bus interface. This means that thickness or width measurement applications can now be done with zero set-up simplifying the installation process. LaserSpeed speed & length measurement

The LaserSpeed range provide high accuracy, non contact length and speed measurement for the steel industry. Able to measure length or speed to an accuracy better than ±0.05%. The gauge is ideal for replacing contact type tachometers which are prone to measurement errors caused by slippage, dirt build up and day-to-day wear. Accura-2D Width & Edge Profile

Many processes require the width & edge profile of the product to be measured online. The unique scanning laser sensor from LIMAB enables both to be done within one device very easily.

By mounting two Accura-2D laser sensors either side of the moving product the width and edge profile are continuously measured. Over the last few years this has become the industry standard method of measuring the width and edge profile of plasterboard during manufacture but is also used in other industries such as steel where plates and slabs are measured.
