PreciCura Technology
The Cup Profiler uses LIMAB’s standard PreciCura laser triangulation sensors which are a product of over 25 years experience of producing precision laser sensors. The unique laser sensors are robust, rugged yet very accurate.
Non contact measurement
The laser measuring principle means that the timber is measured without contact. This eliminates regular maintenance and saves time and provides more reliable results.
Control system integration
The measurements from the Cup Profiler are used by the sawmill control system to turn the board automatically when the cup is in the incorrect orientation automating the process and reducing the manning requirements.
Insensitive to board bounce
Dual laser technology means that the measurement is not affected by vertical movement as the board pass through the measurement region.
Simple installation
The Cup Profiler can very easily be retrofitted to existing lines as no special mounting or lighting conditions are needed.
Smart sensor
The system can differentiate cup from wane which means a reliable measurement is made on all types of board.
