Cup Profiler - Overview
Overview
The Cup Profiler is a non contact system for use in sawmills. It is used for detecting the cup in boards as they pass on the transverse conveyor. The system will provide a signal to the turn over unit so that the board is in the correct orientation before planing.

Operating Principle
The Cup Profiler uses two PreciCura SR sensors which use the principle of laser triangulation. The second laser is used to eliminate any vertical movement of the board as it passes through the measuring field.

- Detection of cup orientation before planing.
- Detection of cup orientation before sawing.
