TubeProfiler
Overview
The TubeProfiler is a multi-axis mill gauge designed to measure the diameter and ovality of hot rolled tubes that are formed on a Pilger mill. The gauge is also suitable for measuring the profile of hot or cold bars and tubes whether round or square.

Operating Principle
The TubeProfiler uses the laser triangulation principle; 8-18 laser sensors are mounted on a circular base plate with the lasers directed to the centre of the wheel. Each laser precisely measures the distance to the tube or bar. The TubeProfiler has a patented algorithm ensuring that the movement of the object in the measuring field does not affect the measuring accuracy.
