For over fifty years Branston have been a British leader in fresh produce. Established as a fresh potato business they have built on their success working with their own farmers and co-operatives and now expanded into the prepared vegetables range. Branston work closely with their wholesale and retail customers to ensure that all of their products, from fresh vegetables to ready-to-cook prepared meals are delivered with consistently high standards.
To help Branston ensure this level of quality, they needed to guarantee their packaging was as resilient and reliable as possible so approached LIMAB UK and purchased the Dynascan LeakVIEW; an essential piece of quality assurance equipment for testing the seal integrity for all types of packaging within the food industry.
Along with the equipment, Branston required method development training in order to perform accurate and repeatable seal integrity testing. LIMAB Product Specialist Kevin Goodison has years of experience with seal integrity and leak detection testing and was able to provide support and assistance in shaping their own methodology. Kevin created specific test parameters designed to suit each Branston product to ensure optimum seal integrity testing performance
Greg Hall, Quality Assurance Manager at Branston said “Not only did Kevin get us up and running quickly, but his work was also thorough and traceable to the correct ASTM standard to which we test our products. What is most impressive about LIMAB is their ability to specify the correct equipment for our testing needs and the expertise in method development.”
